any variant (there are many) of this device works very well within its
range 890-2720mHz. I have used one and it will pick up all standard
cameras within it's freq in a given room (or indeed several rooms).
Internally it has twin, canned recievers for its 'lo' and 'hi' range.
It is sensitive but add a directional antenna and it gets even better.
it runns on AA batteries (good thing). Audio is hit and miss.
No doubt they will soon release a model that covers 5.8gHz.
