I have to write a thankyou speech about getting voted President of an Island for school. I really don't know where to start. Should I just make up imaginary characters to thank? -.-

Depends. It is a creative assignment, or is it referring to some strange in class activity? Not necessarily ficticious characters, but you could go into extreme detail about your personal struggle to get to the position of Island President, and reinforce what you'll do as president. Make yourself the person being thanked, saying that you did all the hard work, and while others made it possible, you're the man with the plan. etc.

That is as much of your homework I will do for you. Don't they run over this stuff in class?
