A Queensland high school teacher looked stunned as she was declared guilty of an illicit lesbian relationship with a student.
They also met regularly to engage in sexual activities that included Thompson penetrating the young student with everyday items such as a lollipop and a necklace.
The charge carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
