I tried to forget
I tried to forget it all
As I fall further and further
Down this dark and endless spiral
Neverending nightmares await below
In this harrowing Hell of my creation
A plague of my imagination
Manifestations of malicious
Illusions of the impossible
Abominations of animosity
Armed with ancient ammunition-
Twisted memories of years past
A barrage of brutal ballistics
Exit wounds with no point of entry
That burrow deep within my mind
My soul is smothered by the surreal
Left smoldering beneath the surface
Of sanity and subsistence
Relentless Rains of remorse
Ravage desolate landscapes
Unable to find an Oasis of Hope
To fill this hollow place
Where Time is an illusion
and Ecstasy escapes
While the pain remains
I tried to forget
I tried to forget it all
but memories prevail
Bruised and broken
Pathetic prosthetics
Drag me through each day
My halo trails behind me
Through dirt and decay
Yet demons march forth
Engulfing everything
Scars and stigma
that bleed again
Are all that remain
I tried to forget
the thoughts of Yesterday
I wish i could unravel
The threads of Reality
I wish i could pull apart
the foundations of Time
I tried to forget it all
